Online Community vendors to see at #ASAE14

PrintASAE’s Annual Meeting & Expo is just a few weeks off, and as the largest tradeshow of the year in the association sector, it’s an ideal place to get up close and personal with vendors in the community space. (Check out my recent post about must-attend community events at ASAE’s 2014 Annual Meeting) Two of the association sector’s leading community platforms are exhibiting:

  • Higher Logic (booth 417) is a household name amongst community professionals in the association sector. Stop by their booth to learn about cool new development they’re doing around mobile and email delivery. (BTW, Online Community Results is a Higher Logic endorsed Consulting Partner) Company President Andy Steggles and CRO Mark Lowry will be there, but you could just as easily look for a bright orange polo shirt — the person wearing it is sure to be a Higher Logic staffer.
  • Small World Labs (booth 411) has a long and impressive history in the nonprofit space, but is making a strong play in the association sector. They have some cool new email functionality on the way that you’ll want to hear about. President & CEO Michael Wilson and VP of Business Development Dan Germain will be attending.

As of the time this post was written, Socious isn’t on the exhibitor list, but you may see Director of Marketing & Strategy Josh Paul and/or VP of Sales Paul Schneider around town for client meetings.

Beyond these vendors, there are a few software platforms that contain some interesting community features that I’d encourage anyone reading this blog to check out.

  • YourMembership.com (booth 335) is an AMS with a baked-in community platform.
  • NimbleAMS (booth 135) is a Salesforce-based AMS that offers the very slick Salesforce Communities as an add-on.
  • MemberClicks (booth 246) is an AMS with several community options: listservs, forums, and full-blown communities. They’re about to release a whole new platform, so some of these features may be retired, but stop by to learn more.
  • Altai Systems (booth 726) is a Microsoft CRM-based AMS with an excellent community module based on DotNetNuke.
  • Digital Ignite (booth 740) is a learning management system with social and community elements baked in.

One Response so far.

  1. ASI (booth 529) is the provider of the iMIS 20 member Engagement Management System, we also support private communities: http://ow.ly/zxgmA Visit us onsite at #asae14 to learn more.
