Different from much of the competition, Evoq Social built by DNN Corp, boasts a full integration with Evoq Content which allows for a seamless administrative and end-user experience–all at a price point that is very attractive for associations. We were delighted when they asked us to watch their recent release webinar. During the webinar we had some, “Oh yeah, that rocks!” moments and here are a few: Responsive Design: With the new release, Evoq Social made their communities user-friendly on any device. It’s more than that though. In watching the demo, they’ve really done a thorough job in executing the user experience, which allows for full-community actions right from your tablet or mobile device. This is imperative to the success of getting members to use your community on the go. Community Manager Insights: From a community manager’s standpoint, Evoq Social has built-out a robust but easy-to-read analytics area. We think the most exciting element here is the area that defines which discussions and questions don’t have replies. Yet again, this is another big ticket item in managing and fostering engagement in your online community. Privileges Based on Participation: Within Evoq’s Gaming Mechanics area, admins can award users for certain activities like donations, committee involvement, posting discussions, etc., but what sets them apart is the option to elevate a user’s privileges within the site. For example, you may want a new user’s to only have the ability to up-vote posts. After a certain number of up-votes, they would earn the privilege to down-vote posts (see screenshot example here).
